Together with the Lithuanian writer Ramūnas Čičelis, the results of the two month residency are shown in the exhibition
„BRIDGE: TEXT SOUND VIEW“. The exhibition consists of two main parts. The „Boad Trip Diary“, a audiovisual project
that is oszillating between text, sound and views. Beside this project the two artists present three soundsculptures.
BOAT TRIP DIARY
Video 37min
On this disc you will see, what you have already dreamt. The content of this film is known for you, but you
still never expressed it in words or views. That´s our common illusion, which becomes real. It´s not con-
structed: Sound, view and voice is on the border of understanding.
Sound soup gourmet
Bidirectional Soundobject (Souppots, Audio transducer)
The souppot is a traditional tool of lithuanian cuisine. A lot of different ingredients get mixed together with water.
Everything get´s boiled and transformation begins. Let´s replace the water by sound. We (and the cultural things
we created, like architecture, cars, alarm signals,...) are the ingredients. We mix that all together and create our
very own spicy soundscape.
Internal portrait
Stereo Soundobject (Easel, Loudspeakers)
Two easel are placed in the room in an opposite angle. No painters can be seen. Only the sound that was
recorded before, during a painting session is hearable. The text of the writer Ramunas Cicelis gets projected
into the wooden boards for painting. Through panning of the signal a audioficial dialogue starts.
Letterbox to subconsciousness
Mono Soundobject (Metal letterbox, Audio transducer)
A letterbox is a „every day object“ but only the owner/adressee and the bearer have access to it. Suddenly it
starts speaking. The content is about you and your subconsciousness.
